Two lots of the nutritional supplement tablets Extenze are being voluntarily recalled by Biotab Nutraceuticals, Inc. The two recalled lots are counterfeit products not manufactured, packaged, or distributed by Biotab. They are falsely marked with the identical numbers used to identify the genuine Biotab lots. The lot numbers affected are 0509075 and 0709241.
The FDA notified Biotab of the counterfeit drug, which contains ingredients of drugs that are undeclared. The counterfeit drug may have adverse affects, pose serious health risks, and may negatively react with other drugs if taken at the same time. The counterfeit drugs are sold nationwide.
Biotab is voluntarily recalling the two lots affected by the counterfeit drug. There may be other lots and products on the market that are counterfeit and unidentified. If you have any of the affected counterfeit drugs, please return the unused product to your local retailer for a refund. If you have any questions about the recall, please call 626.775.6334. You can learn more about the recall and get further instructions.
Even legitimate Extenze pills may be dangerous as they contain yohimbe extract, which has been linked to kidney failure, seizures, and wrongful death.
